“INTERTEXTUALES, ENTRE PERFORMANCE Y ACCIONES LATINOAMERICANAS 2021”

Visual artists and researchers, Ruth Vigueras B. (Mexico) and Milton Afanador A. (Colombia), organized this project that brings together more than 20 performance artists from Latin America. Vigueras and Afanador summarize "Intertextuals" as follows: 

The intertextuality in this project promotes the relationship between a visual, oral and written text, causing friction with multiple registers of contemporary Latin American performance art. This set of registers, with which action art and performance art are explicitly linked, constitute dialogues between artists, where they influence the production and understanding of the creators' discourse in dialogue. This is a project that aims to manage a contemporary curatorial investigation, framed in the reflection of each artist, with the intention of integrating exhibition samples from virtuality, with a critical and poetic character.

Trabajo colaborativo realizado con el artista José Roberto Sechi (Brasil) para el Proyecto “Intertextuales, entre performance y acciones Latinoamericanas 2021”. 

Ruth Vigueras B. Artista visual e investigadora (México) y Milton Afanador A. Artista visual, docente e investigador (Colombia), son lxs curadorxs de este proyecto que reúne a más de 20 artistas, performerxs, etc. del continente. “La intertextualidad en este proyecto, promueve la relación entre un texto visual, oral y escrito, originando fricciones con múltiples registros de la performance art latinoamericana en la contemporaneidad. Este conjunto de registros, con los que se vincula explícitamente el arte de acción y la performance, constituyen diálogos entre los artistas, en donde influyen en la producción y la comprensión del discurso de los creadores en diálogo. Este es un proyecto que tiene la finalidad de gestionar una investigación curatorial contemporánea, enmarcada en la reflexión de cada artista, teniendo como intención integrar muestras expositivas desde la virtualidad, con carácter crítico y poético”.
